The Bladerunner & Cyberpunk Generation Is Almost Here

Inspired by the cinematography of films by Ridley Scott and Stanley Kubrick, fashion photographer and graphic designer Marilyn Mugot, found herself traveling the globe and shooting new perspectives of urban landscapes.

Welcome to the Night Project!

The Night Project is a photo collection of eerie shots of Paris, San Francisco, New York, and the focal point of this post, China. Specifically, Hong Kong, Chongqing, and Guilin.

These images flood my mind with thoughts of the likes of Bladerunner, Strange Days, The Matrix, Judge Dredd and a plethora of other Cyberpunk inspired movie or fictional dystopian futures. It also makes it feel like these dark worlds are so very close. As if you squinted just right,  you’d see these worlds happening in real-time…if only for a second. Either way, that dystopian future is a much more likely future for us than the happy, altruistic future of Star Trek. It’s sad, but true.

Anyways, enjoy the pics.
