Street artist, stencil artist, and muralist Blythe Crowe –better known as #AWOL– is one BUSY gal! Hailing from Colorado, this 17 year old artist is quickly making a name for herself.
Part of that reason? The prolific amount of work she produces. But, instead of droning on about it (and discussing how I think she has the potential to take over for Banksy at some point), I’ll just let her work do the talking.
Ok, the Banksy comment may be a little premature. But she’s young, talented and incredibly dedicated to her craft. So it’s not as much of a jump as you’d think.
“Art is an evolutionary act. The shape of art and its role in society is constantly changing. At no point is art static. There are no rules.”
― Raymond Salvatore Harmon, BOMB: A Manifesto of Art Terrorism
Want to see more of her work? There is a LOT more where this came from, trust me!
I highly suggest checking out her project of hand painting the tables at the Rio Grande in Colorado. Here’s the direct link to the Facebook album: Rio Grande Restaurant Tables!
So, #AWOL, Give Us Art salutes you for chasing your dream with dogged determination and unbridled passion!
