The Evolution Continues!
Max Leon’s artwork is evolving at a pace that staggers the mind. His last three shows, three completely different styles of work. If I didn’t know him personally I might think he’s farming out work to other artists. Each with their own drastically different style, just so he could show something new each time. And in a way, he is. But it’s not different artists, it’s different aspects of himself that he’s farming. Different thoughts, feelings and emotions. That brings us to his newest work. And I mean NEW! This work is right off the presses, so to speak.

His latest show “Indelible” The Ink Works of Max M. Leon II is a look at his newest creations: black & white, intricate motion captures. These works are about motion and energy more than the objects themselves. They have all the power of gesture drawings with the intricacy and detail of illustrations. More importantly, they are beautiful.

His new show opens tonight at the Art House Picture Frames gallery in Portland, ME. The reception is from 5-8pm. Next Saturday, June 11th, will be an Artist reception that includes a live demonstration. Get there if you can, because by next month he may have already moved on to a new and completely different style of work.

So Max, Give Us Art! salutes you, your continuing evolution and commitment to art!
