About Me
After almost 20 years in the warehousing and shipping industries, I went back to college for business and earned degrees in: Marketing, Small Business Management, Graphic Design and Visual Marketing.
But before all that, I was an artist. But even with the years of schooling and independent classes it was obvious, though talented, I was never going to achieve the artistic success of the incredible artists I already knew. So I moved on, but couldn’t leave art behind. I wanted it, no I needed it, in my life.
That lead to create this art blog www.giveusart.com, my own small business Savage1Studio, and become a freelance writer for www.culturemob.com.
My goal is simple. Help Artist’s turn ‘art the hobby’ into ‘Art the Career.’

Hello,
Please can you remove my images from your website asap. I hope to be notified.
Kindly
Kelly Jayne
I will certainly remove the images and post. My intentions for writing the post and showing the art was only because I enjoyed your art so much that I wanted to share it. I’m sorry if it offended you in any way.
Shawn – the review of ART MAFIA is very well done. Thanks! I hope you can come to the reception Saturday night. June 18th 6-8pm @ Fraker/Scott Gallery. It is open to the public and we hope to have a great turnout. Karl Benitez will be doing the Audio Program to back up the art. We look forward to meeting you.
Wish I could have made the reception. But alas, I had an obligation RIGHT when it was happening that I couldn’t reschedule.
Thanks much for the invite though. Art the world!

I accidentally stumbled here and what a surprise to find you featured my work! Thank you is inadequate, your words are most kind, especially in these days when even the best of us around the world are struggling for survival. I now paint part-time (hard to kill the life-long addiction) and work at Walmart as a cashier! ah, lifes quirky turns! :}) I wish you the best and success in your work and in speading the magic and keeping it alive. Love and light- Cassie
It’s one of the reasons I started this blog. Art needs to be more important in our culture. It has lost all the prestige it had in the day, and it so deserved. Artisans and craftsmen used to make work with a passion and skill that this day can’t even come close to. Now everything is mas-produced and sent out on a conveyor belt. Artists should be seen for the gifts they give us. We should appreciate the time, effort, and skill they use to give us all unique gifts. With luck, I can help turn around the woes of so many talented, struggling artists. Only time will tell. But I hope so.
Shawn
Speaking of which….. Keep your ears to the ground.
I am keeping my head down, looking for places to do some installations and shows.
Blogs looking sweet bro!
Thanks man. I’m just in the beginning stages, but I’m feeling good about it! Really enjoying it! If I see or hear about any Art opportunities, I’ll post them for all to see!!! You can be sure of it.
