This is my most recent article written for culturemob.com‘s Seattle Music section. I hit this show really looking forward to the new and improved, blues infused, G. Love & Special Sauce. But when performed live, this ‘Back Road Blues’ sound was lost in translation. On the other hand, Scott H. Biram had the style and attitude that could make him a star.
I’ll say this for G. Love, he certainly has some fans in Seattle. Last night’s sold out show was proof of that. Love, and his faithful backing band the Special Sauce, have an ability to take their well known (and well loved) songs and infuse them with a jam-like quality, a feeling that this nights rendition is the best one ever….
